TO THE PARENTS…

Our theme is "First Kids" Therefore, the activities and ministries for first through sixth graders point to that disciple-making purpose. Our Children's Ministry engages kids in the five purposes of the church.

Our Children's Ministry exists to: BRING Christ to the children of our community, experience the LIFT that unity with other Christians brings and ACCELERATE them in their spiritual growth. SENDing them out to serve and to bring TRIBUTE to Christ with their lives.

* Lift
* Accelerate
* Send

Sunday School is a fun-filled, Bible-based adventure for kids each Sunday morning. We begin our time with worship through singing and giving our offerings. The Bible lesson is introduced through video, and then the children move to age-appropriate classes for deeper understanding and application. Children’s Sunday School is a place where their teachers disciple them in the Word and exemplify what it means to live the Christian life.

Our classes:
1st - 2nd
3rd - 4th
5th - 6th

Girls In Action is a missions program for girls that creates awareness of missions and ways to be involved here and around the world. GA's provides events and opportunities for girls and moms to be involved in during the year. Jaime Rhymes is the leader and coordinator of our GA program.

Royal Ambassadors is a missions program for boys that creates awareness of missions and ways to be involved here and around the world. RA's provides ministry with boys and dads through camping trips and events throughout the year. David Rhymes is the leader and coordinator of our RA program.

Ongoing discipleship is a major emphasis in our ministry to children. Before a child is baptized, a discipleship relationship begins in which the child is mentored and discipled by Melissa or a children's leader for at least a month. If your child has accepted Christ and been baptized or has a lot of questions, feel free to call Melissa to schedule a time for some discipleship meetings to emphasize what you, as a parent, are teaching at home. These sessions include a conversational explanation of salvation, baptism, the Lord's supper, worship, having a quiet time, and what it means to be a church member.
